Download & Install SPMP APK
- Visit the SPMP GitHub releases page or use our download button to get the latest SPMP APK file (v0.4.3).
- Once downloaded, open your device's Settings app.
- Navigate to Security or Privacy settings.
- Find and enable Unknown Sources or Install Unknown Apps. This allows installation of APK files from outside the Play Store.
- Locate the downloaded APK file in your Downloads folder using a file manager.
- Tap the APK file and select Install when prompted.
- Wait for the installation to complete — it usually takes less than a minute.
- Once installed, tap Open to launch SPMP.
Initial Setup
When you first open SPMP, you'll see a clean interface with several options. Here's how to get started:
- Optionally sign in with your YouTube/Google account to sync your playlists and preferences. This is optional — SPMP works without an account.
- Browse the Home tab to discover trending music, recommendations, and new releases.
- Use the Search function to find specific songs, artists, albums, or playlists.
- Explore the Library section to manage your saved music and playlists.
Customizing SPMP
One of SPMP's standout features is its high level of customization. Access the settings by tapping the gear icon or menu button:
- Theme Colors: Choose from multiple color schemes or create your own custom theme. SPMP supports both light and dark modes.
- Layout Options: Adjust the interface layout — switch between grid, list, or compact views for your music library.
- Audio Quality: Select your preferred streaming quality (up to 320kbps) and enable Dolby Atmos if supported.
- Download Settings: Choose the download quality and storage location for offline music.
- Metadata Customization: Edit song information, album art, and playlist details to your liking.
Download Music for Offline Playback
SPMP makes it easy to listen to music without an internet connection:
- Find the song, album, or playlist you want to download.
- Tap the download icon (usually a downward arrow) next to the track.
- Select your preferred audio quality for the download.
- Wait for the download to complete — you'll see a progress indicator.
- Access your downloaded music from the Downloads or Offline section of the app.
Using Android Auto with SPMP
SPMP fully supports Android Auto for safe music control while driving:
- Ensure SPMP is installed on your Android phone.
- Connect your phone to your car's Android Auto system via USB or wirelessly.
- On the Android Auto screen, you'll see SPMP as an available music app.
- Use voice commands ("Hey Google, play music on SPMP") or the touch screen to control playback.
- Access your playlists, browse music, and control volume — all hands-free.
Creating and Managing Playlists
- Navigate to the Library or Playlists section.
- Tap the Create Playlist or + button.
- Give your playlist a name and optional description.
- Search for songs and tap the add icon to include them in your playlist.
- Rearrange tracks by dragging and dropping, or remove them with a swipe.
- Share your playlist with friends using the share button.
Troubleshooting Common Issues
SPMP Not Working or Crashing
- Update to the latest version from the GitHub releases page.
- Clear the app cache: Settings → Apps → SPMP → Storage → Clear Cache.
- Reinstall the APK by uninstalling first, then installing the latest version.
- Check that your device meets the system requirements (Android 4.4+, 2GB RAM).
Music Not Playing
- Verify your internet connection is stable.
- Check if the song is available in your region.
- Try switching between WiFi and mobile data.
- Restart the app or your device.
Download Issues
- Ensure you have enough storage space (at least 100MB free).
- Check that SPMP has storage permissions enabled in your Android settings.
- Try downloading over a WiFi connection instead of mobile data.
